1424 Nicholas Paris / Parys Esquire - the inscription trashed by Dowsing has since been lost. The Paris unicorn is on the shields. After his death his nephew Henry acquired the manor as well as holding Hildersham.
The Paris family were lords of the manor leaving here at the reformation because of their catholic adherance leaving the Millicents and Lones to take over.
