Note Russell & Childrey armourials in small escutcheons in gables of canopies. The brass is very similar to that of Thomas de Berkeley, 5th Baron Berkeley(d.1417) at Wootton-under-Edge, Glos., suggesting a workshop of common origin

Sir Maurice had extensive land holdings in Gloucestershire, Somerset, Dorset, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire. HIs male line ended on the death of son Thomas, Most of his estates then passed into the families of his 2 daughters from his first marriage. (mainly to the Denys side)
His grandson and great grandson Morys and Walter Denys have a brass at Olveston flic.kr/p/63yd8i . Their grand-daughter Katheryn Denys married Edmund Tame flic.kr/p/4EpuhQ the younger and inherited Fairford on his death

The effigies of Sir Morys Russel, [1401], in armor, and his wife Isabel [Kingston], with a double canopy, mutilated, and a foot inscription in six Latin verses. Under a movable platform in the South Aisle
Sir Morys Russel, supposedly the builder or at least the restorer of the Dyrham Church, was the Sheriff of Gloucestershire in 1396. He married Isabel Kingston and by her had two daughters, Margaret and Isabel, who were his co-heirs.
On Sir Morys's death in 1401, the manor of Dyrham passed jointly to his two daughters.

есть путаница с фамилией его первой жены - Kingston или Childrey
поэтому, так как на самом памятнике даты смерти не указаны (то есть памятник создан до даты смерти первой жены (неизвестна, но вторая женитьба персонажа была by 1412), а дата 1401 более правдоподобна в отношении изображенного доспеха, будет использована ориентировочная датировка 1400?
