Protaso Caimi led the Milanese Army from 1340-60. His tomb is in the third chapel of the Basilica of Sant'Eustorgio.
Protaso Caimi's sarcophagus depicts the Madonna enthroned, surrounded by kneeling saints. It is the work of Bonino da Campione, dated mid-fourteenth century.
