L’histoire de David et Goliath se decompose en deux scenes successives : a droite, le combat d’ou provient la statue deposee dans le musee et, a gauche, la victoire de David qui s’apprete a trancher la tete du geant Goliath assomme.
Tau Musee, Reims
The Tau Museum is housed in the former Archbishop's palace in Reims and can be accessed directly from the south transept of the cathedral.
The collections comprise the cathedral museum, including stunning artefacts from the cathedral treasury and massive architectural sculptures from the building itself (most removed as a result of First World War damage and replaced by copies on the cathedral).
Goliath
This towering medieval knight is from the tableaux representing the story of David & Goliath above the rose window of the west facade of Reims Cathedral. The sculpture was removed from the building shortly after the First World War and his place remains empty to this day.
