Halberstadt: Liebfrauenkirche
The Liebfrauenkirche (Church of Our Lady) was founded as a collegiate church (Stiftskirche) in 1005, and a first church was built 1005-1020. Most of the current triple-aisled Romanesque basilica dates from the 12th century. It is the only remaining Romanesque basilica with four towers in the Northern half of Germany.
