cenotaph (empty grave, he is buried in Baden-Baden)
Note Bernhard's pivots at the sides of his bascinet to hinge a "Hundsgugel" visor, the large camail attached to the bascinet with a rope running through the vervelles, and the lance rest on his chest which can be turned upwards
Note how Bernhard's breastplate is fastened by four belts: two of them go behind his back horizontally (one under his armpits and another one around his waist), and two others diagonally (going from his upper chest to his waist).
Note Bernhard's breastplate having one extra lame to protect his abdomen!
Note how Bernhard's genouillere is attached to his cuisses and greaves by four lames, held in place by a buckled belt. The greaves and cuisses are hinged on the outside and buckled on the inside.

ca. 1390 - 'Bernhard I, Markgraf von Baden (+1431)', Klosterkirche, Bad Herrenalb, Baden-Württemberg, Germany
"Manfred Kohler hat neuestens nachweisen können, daß das Grabdenkmal schon vor 1400 (wahrscheinlich zwischen 1384 und 1390) von Kräften der Münsterbauhütte von Thann errichtet wurde". Translated from German it says "Manfred Kohler has recently pointed out that the church monument was made by the workshop of the Minster of Thann before 1400 (probably between 1384 and 1390)". A St. George wearing similar armour can be seen on the facade of Thann's Minster.
