Holzstatue von St. Georg, wahrsch. nach 1375

This St. George, made by an unknown Northern European artist (a German carver?) still has some traces of original polychromy. Apparently his left leg and right arm are later reconstructions, and so are probably both of his gauntlets.
The dragon has become an unrecognisable abstract shape.
Note the remaining pivot on the left side of the bascinet.
Pictures taken at the exhibition "L'Homme, le Dragon et la Mort. La Gloire de saint Georges" in Le Musee des Arts Contemporains, Le Grand-Hornu, Boussu, province of Hainaut, Belgium (October 18th 2015 - January 17th 2016).

так как настоящее место происхождения объекта неизвестно, я расположил его в Kingdom of Old Castile, рядом с очень похожими P0507, 1374 (зубцы на подоле кольчуги и жупон с коротким рукавом) и P0664, 1390? (свободный жупон с коротким рукавом и складчатым подолом, полунаголенники)
хотя возможно, что объект проиходит из Южной Франции, ближе к Бургундии и Швейцарии
